To screen record on Windows, you can use the built-in Xbox Game Bar or a third-party application. Here’s how to use both methods:
Using Xbox Game Bar:
- Open the Xbox Game Bar: Press
Windows + Gon your keyboard. - Start Recording:
- Click on the "Capture" widget (if it’s not visible, you can find it in the "Widgets" menu).
- Click the Record button (the circle) or press
Windows + Alt + Rto start recording.
- Stop Recording: To stop, click the stop button on the recording timer or press
Windows + Alt + Ragain. - Find Your Recording: By default, recordings are saved in the
Videos > Capturesfolder.
Using a Third-Party Application:
OBS Studio:
- Download and install OBS Studio.
- Open OBS, set up a new scene, and add a source (like Display Capture or Window Capture).
- Click Start Recording to begin, and Stop Recording to finish.
ShareX:
- Download and install ShareX.
- Open ShareX, and click on Capture > Screen Recording.
- Choose the area you want to record, and it will start recording.
